Weekend Submissions

 A note about submissions sent in late on Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays and during the Easter holidays.

Now that The Lark has become popular there are quite a few submissions to get through each day.

From next Friday 8th April 2022 there will be changes to the wait time of submissions sent in on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and during holidays. So, from now on if you submit a piece on a Friday it may be scheduled for publication for that weekend or it may not be seen until Monday.

We prefer submissions to be sent to us on a weekday ie. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but if that is a problem then you can still submit them during the weekend.

Please understand that no one will see it until Monday if you send submissions in during the weekend. You can send them in on a weekend (and during holiday periods like Good Friday or Easter Sunday) but please know that your submission may take longer to be published as it will not be seen during the weekend.

For instance, if you submit something on a Saturday or Sunday it will not get published or seen until Monday. If you send in something late on a Friday it may be scheduled for publication on a Saturday or a Sunday or it may not be seen until Monday.

Tuesday: published same day or scheduled

Wednesday: published same day or scheduled

Thursday: published same day or scheduled

Friday AM: Morning submissions may be published the same day or scheduled.
Friday PM: Afternoon submissions may be scheduled or not seen until Monday if submissions are submitted late at night.

Saturday: All submissions will not be seen until Monday so no publishing on this day (sometimes a morning submission may get scheduled but this is not always guaranteed).

Sunday: All submissions will not be seen until Monday so no publishing on this day.

UK Easter Holidays

Good Friday: Morning submissions — Published or scheduled
Good Friday: Afternoon submissions — scheduled for publication over the weekend

Easter Saturday: Morning submissions — scheduled or not seen. Afternoon submissions — scheduled or not seen until Monday 18th April 2022

Easter Sunday: No publishing on this day. Submissions will not be seen until the following morning.

Easter Monday: Morning — Scheduled or Afternoon submissions— not seen until Tuesday 19th April 2022.
