This is to let you know that there has been an update and that it has been listed on the Write for Us page on The Lark.
The Lark has been busy with submissions lately, so the wait time to get your work published has now gone up to 72 hours. This means that as The Lark has become popular for many writers on Medium it has been necessary to extend the wait time. So, you may have to wait up to 72 hours before your work is published on The Lark from now on.
In some cases, this may not happen but during weekends and holidays it may take up to 72 hours before your work is seen and published. We hope everyone can put up with this wait time, so please carry on as normal sending in your poems and fiction. You may find that your work gets published within 24 to 48 hours during weekdays. Please bear in mind that if you submit work during the weekend it will have to wait to get published (especially on Sundays). Weekends and during holiday periods ie. Christmas Day and Boxing Day may take longer (72-hour wait). So, submissions on a weekday are preferred but you can still submit work on weekends providing you are willing to wait. For instance, if you submit a short poem on a Sunday it will get published either that day or the following day. If you submit a long short story on a Sunday it will be published the following day most likely or either the day after. It depends on how many submissions are before yours. We also have lots of submissions from the day before to get through so The Lark has become a busy publication for poets and fiction writers. This is good news for us all.
The Lark wants you to know that it will always publish submissions before 72 hours is up.
